Do I need Ahrefs to use this agent?
Yes. Ahrefs MCP is required for Sections 1.1, 1.2, 3.3, and 3.4 — the core keyword, traffic, backlink, and SERP data that drive the dashboard. Can I choose my own competitors and categories?
Yes — and the agent asks you to confirm both before pulling any data. You choose up to 3 competitors and 4 categories. If you don't have 4 categories in mind, the agent scans the target's top pages and product portfolio to propose candidates, then waits for your sign-off before proceeding.
How does the LLM visibility section work?
For each of the 60 non-branded prompts across 4 categories, the agent runs a live web search to check whether the target or competitor URLs appear in top organic results, PAA panels, or AI Overview snippets. It cross-checks with Ahrefs organic keyword rankings and PAA coverage, then assigns a Y/N citation presence based on at least two positive signals. The signal source is shown in the dashboard alongside a projection banner.
